Thankful Thursday

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Jeremiah 29:13

Another Thankful Thursday and another opportunity to express our gratitude for all God has done for us.

I am so thankful today that I have the opportunity to seek God with all of my heart.

I am thankful that He promises that we will find Him when we seek Him with all of our hearts.

I am thankful for the provisions God has given to me. He is so incredible!

I am thankful for that still, small voice that keeps me in check.

I am thankful for the peace God places in my heart even when the storm is dark and dreary.

I am thankful for the unpredictable life when serving Christ. He provides excitement and adventure!

I am thankful for God's protection. We will never know how many times He goes before us and makes the way safe for our journey.

I am thankful today for the hand of God upon my life. He is so awesome and I love Him so much.

Wonderful memories

Valentine's Day was such a special time. I love the holiday almost as much as Christmas. I took a few hours personal leave from work and went home to prepare a wonderful candlelight dinner for our daughter and her family and my hubby and I. It was an incredible evening. Bobby bought me beautiful white and red roses, lovely cards and jewelry for the occasion. It was simply a perfect day.
Yesterday was my birthday. It was another incredible day! I received phone calls all day from friends. Some even sang to me! Beautiful cards arrived in the mail and my hubby bought me some very nice jewelry. We had dinner last night at Ruth's Chris in Fairfax with some very special friends. It was wonderful!
Relationships are so important. It takes time to cultivate friendships and lasting relationships in this life but the rewards are neverending. It is the same with God. Spending time with Him and cultivating a lasting relationship is so rewarding. I cannot imagine my life without Him....... ever.

Blessings to you ladies!

Who Has Your Heart?

But the Lord said to Samuel, Look not on his appearance or at the height of his stature, for I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees; for man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7
When God looks at your heart today what will He find? There are so many distractions in the world today that are competing for our hearts. If Satan can capture our hearts he is also capable of capturing our minds. And the old saying is that if we give the enemy one small corner of our hearts he will walk all over the other part getting to that one corner!
We easily fool people around us everyday. We certainly know how to pull it off on Sundays when we are in church. How many times have we walked into a Sunday service sportin' a happy smile and looking like we have our acts totally together? The truth is we are absolutely dying on the inside. Our hearts are breaking but because we tend to be prideful people we keep that to ourselves and attempt to fool everyone around us. Our outward appearance is impressive but remember that we cannot fool God. He sees down deep in our hearts and knows us better than we know ourselves.
Nothing in this world is worth giving your heart too. The satisfaction from sin in this world brings temporal pleasure to the flesh. Sin also leaves feelings of guilt, shame and destruction. The Bible tells us that God must be first in our lives in all things. He doesn't want a portion of your heart. He wants all or nothing. He loves us and cares for us more than anyone will ever love or care for us in this life.
Give Him your heart today. He is worth it
Blessings to you on this Valentine's Day!

Enlarge Our Territory Lord!

To ask God for a blessing is to ask for all God has for us. We are to use those blessings to benefit the body of Christ.

Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother had named him Jabez, saying, "I gave birth to him in pain." Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, "Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain." And God granted his request 1 Chronicles 4: 9-10 (NIV).

Many years ago a man went into the office of a well known CEO of a major company. The man was requesting some assistance for missionary work. He asked the CEO for $10,000 for a particular project. The CEO had a very disappointed expression on his face. The man asked him if there was a problem and the CEO proceeded to tell him he was prepared to write a check for $100,000! The CEO told the man that he was disappointed he had asked for something so small. We serve a great and awesome God and by faith we need to think large when we pray.

We should pray that God will give us greater opportunities than we have ever had before. Ask Him to increase your influence. Ask Him to open huge doors that no one can close. Pray that God will give you bigger dreams and visions for your future. May we never come to a place in our walk with Christ that we settle for less than the best. Ask God to take you places you have never been before. To give you greater faith and greater power in your Christian lfe. Pray that God will continually make a way where there just doesn't seem to be a way.

Ask God today to enlarge your territory. Make yourself available. That's all He needs to get started - your availability. If we can make ourselves available to Him, God will make amazing things happen through the greasy, grimy, filthy mess of our lives. God will deliver the priceless, pure, wonderful message of Jesus through the flawed, failed fabric of our lives.

Dear Jesus, we pray today that you would increase our territory! Give us a vision and the will and the capacity to grow in faith everywhere you lead us. Shape us to be flexible in the work and quick to react to changing needs. May we be generous with our time, our resources and the Spirit. Help us to be open to all and to reflect Godliness in all areas of our lives. May we be courageous to grow and to go as you lead each of us according to your will. Make us aware of the people you have so carefully placed in our paths. Lord, make us ambitious to win them ALL, that no one would go through life without the hope and love you offer. God make us assertive, fearless and feverous in our spiritual warfare to see lives totally and completely changed.

Oh God, enlarge our territory!

Blessings to you ladies!
